According to the Road Traffic Act (SVG), a foreign vehicle must have a so-called COC (certificate of conformity / EWG declaration of conformity) in a national language or in English.
This document describes the conformity of a specific product (vehicle) to recognised international standards and is intended to facilitate the approval of the product on international markets.
If no COC is available, a corresponding declaration of conformity can be ordered online after registration.
